Section 7 - Duties of the Committees


11. Political Action

  1. to become informed of the process and the current issues pertaining to the three levels of government which affect OECTA members;

  2. to advise the local Unit Executive and OECTA members of the political issues;

  3. to encourage the OECTA members to become politically aware and politically active;

  4. to make recommendations to support and promote teacher advocacy at the local level, including political action and labour council activities.
