Unit Award Nominations Open March 4, 2026!
The Ottawa Catholic Teachers Association provides Teacher Education Grants up to $800 each.
These are awarded in the Fall and in the Spring with priority given to applicants who are trying to move to a higher QECO category on the salary grid.
Applicants must:
be permanent or occasional members of our Unit,
demonstrate financial need,
provide proof of completion of a university course, and
submit their application within one year of successful course completion.
If you are already receiving funding for this course from another source (joint OECTA/OCSB subsidy, Ministry, or OCSB) you will not be eligible for a grant.
NOTE: You must be logged into a PERSONAL Gmail account to upload your documents in the application.
Preference will be given to those individuals in the lower QECO categories.
The recipients of this award will be selected by the local Ottawa Catholic Teachers Awards Committee
Applications will be received and reviewed twice a year at the end of October/beginning of November and at the end of April.
