Section 7 - Duties of the Committees

16. Status of Women

1. to advise the Executive on ways to enhance the status of women in the teaching profession and in society;

2. to propose to the Executive recommendations relevant to the status of women to be addressed at the Joint Consultation Committee (JCC);

3. to recommend to the Executive ways to provide outreach to community-based women’s organizations;

4. to inform all members of current trends, issues, and problems as they pertain to the status of women locally, nationally, or internationally.
